Role overview

Leantech is a fast-growing fintech company providing financial data infrastructure across the MENA region. As an Internal Auditor for Risk & Regulatory Assurance, you will independently evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks across all group entities in a highly regulated, security-sensitive environment.

Key responsibilities

Plan and execute risk-based internal audits across group entities, focusing on regulatory compliance, AML/CFT controls, technology and operations, governance, and financial controls.
Develop and maintain the annual group audit plan, ensuring appropriate risk coverage across all licensed entities.
Assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls, identifying gaps, root causes, and process weaknesses.
Prepare clear, actionable audit findings and reports for management and relevant committees including the Group Level Risk and Compliance Committee and Audit Committee.
Track remediation of audit findings and monitor management action plans through completion.
Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and internal compliance and risk functions to ensure comprehensive assurance coverage.
Lead ad hoc regulatory assessments as required and support investigations as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Four to seven years of internal audit experience, preferably within fintech, payments, or financial services.
Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, or ACCA preferred.
Experience auditing across multiple regulatory jurisdictions, with GCC experience strongly preferred.
Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities.
Excellent written communication skills for reporting to senior stakeholders and committees.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and demonstrate professional integrity and discretion.
