Role overview

Checkout.com is a global fintech platform processing over 10 billion transactions yearly for major companies like eBay, Spotify, Uber, and Sony. This Senior Specialist position in Riyadh focuses on building and managing strategic financial partnerships that drive the company’s expansion across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region.

Key responsibilities

Manage and expand commercial relationships with Acquiring Banks, alternative payment methods providers, and card networks including Visa, Mastercard, and MADA to develop market-leading payment solutions.
Lead expansion projects across different geographies and payment methods in collaboration with regional and global teams.
Negotiate commercial and operational terms that deliver favorable outcomes for Checkout.com while maintaining balanced stakeholder relationships.
Monitor partnership performance, ensure both parties meet deliverables, and design new processes to support scaling, efficiency, and performance improvements.
Serve as the primary internal and external contact for assigned partnerships, collaborating across relationship management, business development, risk, compliance, product, and operations functions.
Develop and execute partnership management strategies using payments industry expertise to identify opportunities for growth through new products, services, and market segments.
Act as a subject matter expert on payments industry capabilities and partner strengths to support internal teams in strategic decision-making.

Requirements

Minimum three years of direct experience in the payments industry.
Proven background in payment processing, acquiring, or managing payment partnerships.
Strong proficiency in payments knowledge with the ability to identify problems within payment flows and communicate solutions effectively to internal teams.
Experience working with card networks or payment service providers on acquiring payment transactions is highly valued.
Combination of operations, project management, and relationship management skills.
Arabic language proficiency is mandatory due to relationships with local partners.
Strong analytical and strategic mindset with data-driven problem-solving abilities and the ability to influence stakeholders across internal and external organizations.
