Role overview

Coinbase is seeking a Learning & Development Intern to support the People organization’s learning initiatives during a 12-week summer 2027 internship. In this hybrid role based in New York, you will contribute to designing, delivering, and improving programs that help Coinbase employees develop new skills and advance their careers. You’ll work at the intersection of instructional design and emerging AI capabilities, using modern tools to create impactful learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

Create and refine learning materials including presentations, guides, videos, and documentation pages using AI tools to speed up production and enhance quality.
Organize and execute instructor-led training sessions and learning offsites, handling scheduling, logistics, and participant engagement from planning through delivery.
Design and test AI-assisted learning features such as adaptive practice exercises, scenario simulations, and self-paced skill-building resources.
Review program data and engagement metrics using AI-assisted analysis to identify improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements to learning offerings.
Maintain organized program records and communication systems so employees can readily discover and access available learning opportunities.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in or pursuing a degree or certificate in adult education, HR, organizational psychology, instructional design, or a closely related field.
Proficiency with Google Workspace applications including Slides, Sheets, and Docs, with demonstrated ability to create polished presentations and written documents.
Previous experience in an administrative, coordination, or operations role where you successfully managed multiple ongoing tasks and shifting priorities.
Practical experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude for drafting, editing, or designing content, along with judgment about when AI outputs need human refinement.
Commitment to using generative AI responsibly with appropriate human oversight, ensuring outputs are business-ready and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
