Manager, GTM Engineer
Role overview
Checkout.com is seeking a GTM Engineer to join the Marketing team in London. You’ll design and build AI-assisted workflows, automations, and integrations that streamline internal marketing processes and help teams focus on high-value strategic work rather than repetitive tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Work across Marketing teams to understand their processes, map workflows, and identify opportunities where manual effort, duplicated work, or missing context can be eliminated through automation.
- Create and ship AI-assisted agents, automations, integrations and skills using tools such as Claude Enterprise, Copilot Studio, Clay, MCP connectors and coding agents across the marketing technology stack.
- Build workflows that improve efficiency across the full marketing lifecycle, from briefing and research through planning, content development and team handoffs.
- Design systems with robust data, context, tools, user support, controls and feedback loops to ensure workflows are reliable and maintainable over time.
- Partner closely with the Marketing Operations team to ensure solutions integrate smoothly with existing marketing technology and standards.
- Help marketers build confidence using AI by creating reusable patterns, playbooks and guardrails that enable teams to solve more problems independently.
- Prototype, test and iterate on workflows based on real usage, while managing design, security, privacy and governance considerations.
Requirements
- You have built working automations, prototypes, integrations, agents or internal tools and enjoy taking complex problems through to practical solutions people can use.
- You use LLMs hands-on to accomplish work, not merely discuss potential applications, and are comfortable prototyping with AI coding tools, testing approaches, debugging and improving results.
- You can reason about systems, APIs, data flows, permissions and failure modes, and understand the distinction between a promising prototype and a dependable production workflow.
- You understand marketing and go-to-market fundamentals including demand generation, customer marketing, marketing operations, sales processes, and concepts such as campaign briefs, segmentation, lead scoring and attribution.
- You have sound technical judgment and can make sensible implementation choices, though a traditional software engineering background is not required.
What makes this role worth considering
This hands-on technical position sits within Marketing but operates as a cross-functional initiative spanning Marketing Operations, Commercial AI Transformation and the AI Centre of Excellence. You’ll spend approximately 70% of your time building solutions that directly address how Marketing teams work day-to-day, with the explicit goal of multiplying the team’s impact.
