Role overview

Tamara is a leading fintech platform serving the GCC region, with over 25 million customers and 130,000+ partner merchants relying on its financial solutions across retail, travel, education, and healthcare. As a Merchant Acquisition Intern in the In-store Operations team, you will work on the ground to sign new businesses and evaluate marketing efforts at partner store locations throughout Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

Identify and approach potential merchants at physical store locations to introduce Tamara’s services and explain partnership benefits.
Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants by understanding their specific needs and positioning company offerings as effective solutions.
Conduct in-person demonstrations of products and services, addressing merchant concerns to secure new partnerships.
Gather market intelligence including competitor activities, merchant feedback, and in-store materials visibility, then report findings to inform company strategy.
Guide interested merchants through the application and onboarding process to ensure successful long-term partnerships.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Fluent in both Arabic and English with strong communication and persuasion abilities.
Organized approach with keen attention to detail.
Experience with stakeholder management and CRM tools.
Highly energetic and proactive work style with ability to thrive independently and in team settings.
Proven adaptability in fast-paced environments.
Valid UAE driver’s license (mandatory).
