Role overview

Tamara is a fintech platform operating across Saudi Arabia and the GCC region, serving over 25 million customers and more than 130,000 partner merchants. As a Merchant Acquisition Specialist based in Dammam, you will join the In-store Operations team to identify new business partners and evaluate marketing efforts at existing Tamara merchant locations. This role requires frequent field visits to connect with merchants and develop partnerships that drive the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

Identify and approach potential merchants at their physical store locations to introduce Tamara’s services and explain the benefits of becoming a partner.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with merchants by understanding their specific needs and positioning company offerings as solutions to their challenges.
Deliver in-person demonstrations of products and services, address merchant questions, and work toward securing new partnerships.
Gather market insights, monitor competitor activity, and collect merchant feedback to support company strategy and product development.
Monitor in-store marketing materials and their visibility at partner locations.
Guide merchants through the application and onboarding process to ensure smooth partnerships and successful implementation.

Requirements

Minimum internship or co-op experience in sales or business development, with no more than 2 years of professional experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with merchants and colleagues at all organizational levels.
Strong organizational abilities and careful attention to detail.
Ability to manage confidential information appropriately and with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with CRM software experience preferred.
Valid Kingdom of Saudi Arabia driver’s license.
