Role overview

Tamara is a leading fintech platform serving the GCC region, supporting over 25 million customers and 130,000 partner merchants with financial solutions across retail, travel, education, healthcare, and other sectors. As a Merchant Acquisition Specialist, you will join the In-store Operations team to recruit new business partners and oversee marketing efforts at existing merchant locations across Dubai and Sharjah.

Key responsibilities

Identify and approach potential merchants at their physical store locations to introduce Tamara’s services and explain partnership benefits.
Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants by understanding their specific needs and positioning company offerings as solutions to their business challenges.
Conduct in-person demonstrations of products and services, addressing merchant concerns to secure new partnerships.
Gather and report market intelligence, including competitor activities, merchant feedback, and observations about in-store materials visibility to inform company strategy.
Guide interested merchants through the application and onboarding process to ensure successful partnership transitions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Strong communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with stakeholder management and proficiency with CRM systems.
Highly organized approach with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
Proven adaptability to fast-paced environments.
High energy levels and proactive work style.
