Role overview

This Pre-Sales Systems Engineer position is based in Riyadh and focuses on demonstrating how data platform solutions enable digital transformation for major organisations across the region. You will serve as the technical bridge between enterprise clients and advanced storage and cloud-native technologies, helping organisations move beyond legacy infrastructure constraints.

Key responsibilities

Develop comprehensive knowledge of customer business drivers and decision-making processes to identify technology needs.
Connect technology solutions to measurable business outcomes for clients by translating their requirements into innovative architectures.
Collaborate with account managers, specialists and channel partners to create integrated customer strategies that drive new business revenue.
Lead technical evaluations, benchmarks and system configurations to validate solution fit and performance.
Deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers, securing technical buy-in and moving prospects toward contract closure.
Author and contribute to responses for RFI, RFP and RFQ requests from prospective and existing clients.
Work with product and technical marketing teams to develop supporting materials such as whitepapers and web presentations for strategic partnerships.

Requirements

Minimum five years of relevant experience across technology, design and communications, with preference for enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud or software sales support.
Pre-sales experience is required for this position.
Deep technical knowledge of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing architectures, plus current storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS and SAN.
Strong background with Linux, NFS file systems and distributed network environments, along with knowledge of VMware, networking protocols and general infrastructure.
Experience translating RFPs, RFQs and RFIs with significant contribution or leadership of responses.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerisation, Kubernetes and microservices architectures is preferred, along with modern web architecture patterns.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to explain complex technology concepts to customers.
