Role overview

Scale’s Global Public Sector team develops AI solutions to address critical challenges facing governments worldwide. As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Forward Deployed) based in Doha, you will work directly with public sector clients to build and deploy custom AI applications that create meaningful impact for citizens across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

Work closely with public sector clients to understand requirements, gather feedback, and deliver solutions, with travel to client offices expected up to two weeks per month.
Design and architect production-grade applications that integrate AI models with complete technology stacks, covering user interfaces, backend services, and system infrastructure.
Deploy, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure while prioritizing system security, reliability, scalability, and long-term operational health.
Develop reusable core platform features that can be adapted across diverse international client implementations.
Collaborate with design, product, and data teams to ensure applications meet technical standards and align with broader architectural goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
At least 5 years of professional full-stack engineering experience following graduation, with demonstrated expertise in React, TypeScript, Next.js, Python, Node.js, and database technologies such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes across cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Proven track record architecting scalable, production-grade applications with strong knowledge of cloud environments and infrastructure operations.
Experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex end-to-end solutions within customer environments.
Ability to work independently, think critically through ambiguous requirements, and deliver dependable software solutions.
Experience building applications with large language models and comprehensive understanding of the generative AI landscape.
