Role overview

Aldar is seeking an experienced Senior Vice President for Development Management in its Investment Management department based in Abu Dhabi. This hands-on leadership role focuses on directing the creation and execution of a new program that identifies and facilitates the transfer of development-held assets from Aldar Development to Aldar Investment, while negotiating key commercial agreements for recurring income generation.

Key responsibilities

Lead development management activities for real estate projects, overseeing the identification and delivery of asset sales from Aldar Development to Aldar Investment.
Negotiate and execute critical commercial development agreements for real estate acquisitions by Aldar Investment and manage related agreements with external partners.
Manage investment analysis, internal approvals through investment committees and executive committees, and post-transaction execution for development-held projects and special situations.
Direct multi-disciplinary teams including project groups and external consultants through complex development deliverables.
Prepare, negotiate and finalize transaction documentation including Terms of Reference, Share Purchase Agreements, Development Management Agreements and Cooperative Agreements.
Serve as the primary interface between Aldar Development, Aldar Investment and Aldar Group for all development-held activities and related projects.
Formulate and execute development strategies for delivering real estate projects to Aldar Investment and third parties, ensuring stakeholder approvals and consistent engagement practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Minimum 12 years of professional experience in relevant fields.
Strong knowledge of development management agreements and key commercial agreements structures.
Demonstrated expertise in feasibility analysis, cashflow development and investment analysis for business planning.
Knowledge and exposure to UAE and GCC real estate markets.
Excellent numerical and analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or business administration.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with strong interpersonal abilities to build trusted long-term relationships; proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach with high ethical standards.
