Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with mobile network operators, MVNOs, and connectivity aggregators to develop IoT carrier strategy and reduce cost-per-SIM through RFP leadership and SIM lifecycle management.
  • Monitor service level agreement performance, optimize data plans, manage carrier transitions, and track emerging technology trends to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage commercial relationships with freight forwarders, couriers, and third-party logistics providers by conducting rate comparisons, negotiating agreements, tracking performance, and ensuring compliance with customs and trade lane requirements.
  • Support fleet mobility programs by collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to translate technical requirements into commercial terms, develop multi-carrier strategies, and prepare market intelligence briefings.
  • Lead cost management initiatives by developing annual carrier savings pipelines, managing budgets, conducting variance analyses, and benchmarking total cost of ownership across devices, shipments, and programs.
  • Administer and maintain carrier contracts, manage renewal calendars, draft contract redlines, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards across all carrier agreements.

Requirements

  • Eight to ten years of professional experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain roles focused on carrier, telecom, or connectivity procurement, with at least eight years managing carrier relationships directly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Telecommunications, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of cellular IoT connectivity models, SIM and eSIM lifecycle management, MNO and MVNO commercial structures, and aggregator platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end carrier RFP processes, negotiate commercial terms, manage service level agreements, and execute logistics and freight carrier agreements.
  • Proficiency with cost analysis, carrier benchmarking, spend reporting using Excel or Power BI, and hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning or procurement systems such as D365 or SAP.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and contract administration skills, with the ability to prepare executive presentations and drive carrier savings initiatives.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, MCIPS, or GSMA and TM Forum credentials are considered advantageous.
