As a Backend Software Engineer, you will design and build scalable systems that support the company’s payments, benefits, investing, and card offerings.

Key responsibilities

Manage the complete lifecycle of product stories from intake through production release, ensuring all requirements are met and delivered on schedule.
Conduct technical analysis for standard scope stories and implement robust, scalable backend solutions.
Estimate effort accurately, identify and resolve blockers promptly, and participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis to maintain system stability.
Create comprehensive technical documentation for the features you build and communicate effectively with stakeholders across teams.
Collaborate with other teams to coordinate implementation and ensure the backend system supports an excellent user experience.

Requirements

At least three years of professional experience working with Java.
Foundational understanding of cloud platforms, with AWS experience preferred.
Ability to communicate in a structured and persuasive manner, adapting your communication style to build trust with various stakeholders.
Strong focus on understanding and addressing user needs throughout your work.
Passion for FinTech or startup environments and fluency in English.
Problem-solving mindset with ownership mentality and willingness to collaborate and learn.
