Role overview
Satispay is a financial services platform serving over 6.5 million users, built on the principle of making finance accessible and controllable for everyone. As a Software Engineer III in the Backend Business Domain, you will take ownership of the full development lifecycle for systems that power digital payments, working within a team that values problem-solving and user-centric outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the complete story lifecycle from requirements intake through to production deployment, ensuring all acceptance criteria are satisfied.
- Design and build scalable backend services for financial operations including fee calculations, invoicing, payout orchestration, and settlement processes that handle transactions for thousands of businesses.
- Develop systems that support compliance and regulatory reporting, including periodic reviews and risk assessments for transaction data.
- Conduct technical analysis for assigned work, implement robust solutions, and contribute to overall system quality and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews, share technical insights with teammates, and help establish technical best practices within your pod.
- Estimate effort accurately, identify and resolve blockers, and contribute to incident response and root cause analysis when issues arise.
- Create clear technical documentation for features developed and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of professional software development experience working with Java.
- Foundational understanding of cloud platforms, with AWS experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Interest in or experience with financial domain systems such as billing, invoicing, payouts, or settlement processes.
- Focus on user outcomes and genuine interest in how backend systems support business users, with interest in FinTech as an added advantage.
