Role overview

Satispay is a financial services platform serving over 6.5 million users, built on the belief that traditional banking should give people real control over their finances. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will define the long-term technical vision for one of the company’s domains, architecting complex subsystems that directly power features used by millions while leading cross-functional technical initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Design and architect complex subsystems with cross-product considerations, leading initiatives that impact multiple teams and groups within the organization.
Build scalable, high-quality systems that solve complex financial engineering problems, including managing and simplifying the most demanding back-end infrastructure.
Establish technical strategy and drive alignment across the organization, representing the technical vision both internally and to external partners.
Develop emerging technical leaders within the team and foster a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement.
Stay informed on emerging technology trends in FinTech and evaluate their relevance to the platform’s evolution.
Take full ownership of work from conception through delivery, directly contributing to the back-end infrastructure that empowers users to reach their financial goals.

Requirements

At least seven years of back-end software engineering experience with a proven track record of architecting and maintaining microservices in fast-paced environments.
Demonstrated expertise building high-throughput systems capable of serving millions of users with high availability requirements.
Deep experience with Java and strong understanding of cloud platforms, with AWS experience particularly valuable.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a structured and persuasive manner, building trust with diverse stakeholders and fostering cross-organizational relationships.
Proven track record of generating thought leadership, identifying emerging technology trends, and serving as a technical reference point for teams.
Fluency in English and genuine passion for FinTech or startup environments.
