Staff Solutions Engineer (UK)

Role overview

Kong is seeking a Staff Solutions Engineer to support Enterprise and Strategic accounts in the French region. As part of the sales organization, you will lead technical aspects of the sales cycle, working alongside Account Executives to demonstrate the value of Kong’s API Management and Connectivity solutions to new and existing customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the sales team in helping customers understand how Kong’s API Management and Connectivity solutions address their business needs.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients throughout the entire sales process, from initial discovery and requirements gathering through product demonstrations and production deployment.
• Guide customers through proof-of-concept evaluations and provide ongoing support throughout the assessment phase.
• Onboard new customers, deliver training, and work to identify revenue opportunities within your assigned account base.
• Collaborate with support, product, and engineering teams to prioritize customer requirements and achieve high satisfaction levels across your accounts.
• Produce technical documentation focused on DevOps, implementations, and service engagements.
• Contribute to lead generation efforts by creating content such as blog posts, hosting webinars, and participating in industry events.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of pre-sales Solution Engineering experience or comparable background at a SaaS, Open-source, or Enterprise Software organization.
• Demonstrated experience working with Open-source technology.
• Foundational knowledge of API Management, Integration, Cloud computing trends, and Open-source business models.
• Strong ability to present confidently and lead technical discussions with C-level and Director-level executives, as well as with Product Managers and Engineers.
• Enthusiasm for thriving in a high-profile, fast-paced startup environment.
