Role overview

As an Aircraft Paint Technician with Etihad Airways, you will perform paint maintenance and repair work on the airline’s aircraft fleet in Abu Dhabi. Working under Etihad’s GCAA CAR 145 Maintenance approval, you will execute tasks according to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications and approved maintenance manuals to keep the fleet in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

Evaluate paint damage reported on aircraft and carry out the necessary repairs following OEM instructions and approved procedures.
Consult technical manuals including the Structural Repair Manual, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, and Component Maintenance Manual to assess damage, determine repair methods, and identify required materials.
Supply the Aircraft Engineer with detailed information and data about paint defects, including relevant OEM documentation that defines the aircraft’s damage and repair status.
Record all completed work in shift handover documentation to maintain clear and consistent work continuity across teams.
Uphold a safe and clean working environment at all times.
Demonstrate full understanding of company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

High School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Five years of experience working in an aviation environment.
Three years of aircraft painting experience, ideally with an airline or maintenance and repair organization (MRO).
Demonstrated proficiency in aircraft painting techniques for both composite and metallic structures.
Formal basic aircraft maintenance training or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
